Who am I?
Yes, that’s a good question. When it comes from an IT perspective I don’t know really who am I? Today I know some subjects and then by tomorrow I have to update myself!!!!!
My name is Aida Khamseh Safa and I have a Master’s degree in IT from Macquarie University in 2012. My work experience goes back overseas as a computer programmer. I have some community and volunteer work experience in Australia. Also I work casually for LETCO Real estate as a web analyst and designer.
After graduation I did not have any ideas on how I can start my career, each job I applied for wants relevant experience for at least 2 or 3 years!!!
On one beautiful day, I received an email from my university which was about a program to introduce recent graduate to companies from all around Sydney.
Internship? Yes, internship. I never heard about that before, very soon I realised it is the first step in to my new world.
I had some experience in some areas but not in SEO and online marketing. Very soon and beyond my thought, I became a successful intern at AMIRE Strategic Digital Marketing.
It was a new and challenging experience. I was confused, shocked and even sometimes hopeless! Is that really a job I want? Is that all I dreamed of all the time? What is SEO? What is online marketing? It was totally different from what I expected. In my world I always swim in codes, analysis and designing but at first I totally thought I should just be a copy machine or just data entry person without any thought on the background.
But and Big “But”!
As you should learn how to research websites for SEO and online marketing, I started to crawl the internet to find some answers to my questions.
The second step was completing the Inbound Marketing Certificate which helped me a lot to really understand the concept of marketing and the it’s relevant strategies.
Lucky me!
I had two talented leaders in this business with me. The best and most help I could get was from the 2 directors of AMIRE, Sean Rooney and Amye Saunders. It turned my mind about the whole subject.
Now it’s been over 8 weeks since I started my internship experience in SEO and online marketing. It is not only the job I enjoy, it also gives me more opportunities to address my analysis and design strength in a big way.
I can proudly and happily say that I learnt more than my initial expectation. Besides all the new concepts I am learning for the rest of my internship, I am so confident to talk and give some advice about SEO and online marketing to my friends.
Please feel free to ask any questions you have about internship experience in SEO and online marketing in Sydney.
